I am Francesca, PhD student in Economics at Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan supervised by Matteo Sandi.

From January to June 2026 I will be visiting the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) at LSE hosted by Rui Costa.

My research interests are in the fields of economics of crime and labor economics. I use applied microeconometrics and administrative data to study how institutions, and in particular the criminal justice system and prisons, shape individuals’ life trajectories.
